Purpose

BK Guessr is a free geolocation game in which you place the Burger King restaurant shown in a photo on a map. Accessing the game means accepting these terms.

Account

Solo mode is available without an account. Multiplayer, rankings, achievements and the daily challenge require an email-verified account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken from your account.

Expected conduct

The following are prohibited and may lead to a restriction or a ban:

• Automating games, or using a script, bot or location-assistance tool.
• Exploiting a flaw to obtain an undeserved score, rank or achievement.
• Posting hateful, harassing or unlawful content in lobby chat.
• Impersonating another player or a member of the team.
• Disrupting the service, in particular through an abnormal volume of requests.

Rankings and moderation

Scores are computed server-side and are authoritative. A game whose course looks abnormal may be placed in an inspection queue and then invalidated. Moderation decisions, including removing a score or issuing a ban, are made by the team and may be disputed at michel@impulselab.ai.

No timer mode is deliberately excluded from the rankings.

Content and intellectual property

The code, art direction and texts of the game belong to Michel Moccand-Jacquet. The photographs shown come from third-party sources and remain the property of their holders; they are used for gameplay purposes and removed on justified request. The attributions page details the sources and their licences.

Messages you post in chat remain yours; you grant BK Guessr the right to display them to the other members of the lobby.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. It may be interrupted for maintenance. Michel Moccand-Jacquet cannot be held liable for the loss of a game, a score or a rank, the game being free and without financial consideration.

BK Guessr offers no purchase, subscription or virtual currency.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the player settings page. We may terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by French law.
